On Friday, May 22, Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton (SCSGP), with the generous support of the Rotary Club of Princeton Corridor, held its annual Soup for Seniors food drive. Volunteers worked together to sort and bag non-perishable canned goods for distribution to homebound seniors in our local community. Executive Director Adriana Morabito was on hand to coordinate the effort and thank everyone for their support. Thanks to the generosity and hard work of our volunteers and Rotary members, 36 bags containing approximately 220 cans of food were assembled and prepared for redistribution to seniors in need. In addition to supporting the food drive through donations and volunteer service, the Rotary Club of Princeton Corridor presented SCSGP with a $1,000 contribution to help further our mission of serving older adults throughout the Greater Princeton area. Adriana Morabito had the pleasure of accepting the donation and sharing how programs like Soup for Seniors help improve the health, well-being, and independence of local seniors. We are sincerely grateful to the Rotary Club of Princeton Corridor for its continued partnership and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults in our community.

Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton recently hosted a fun-filled Trivia Night at PJ’s Pancake House & Tavern on Thursday, June 11th, bringing together supporters, volunteers, and community members for an evening of friendly competition and camaraderie.

Teams tested their knowledge across a variety of trivia categories while enjoying great food, lively conversation, and plenty of laughs. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends old and new while supporting our mission of helping local seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.

We are grateful to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the evening such a success. A special thank you goes to PJ’s Pancake House & Tavern for hosting the event, to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work behind the scenes, and to our outstanding Trivia Master, Righteous Jolly, whose energy, humor, and challenging questions kept everyone engaged throughout the night.

We look forward to hosting more opportunities to gather, have fun, and support older adults throughout the Greater Princeton area.

On March 12th, Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton hosted a special community outing to McCarter Theatre to see Circus Quixote.

Clients, volunteers, and donors came together for an afternoon of connection and entertainment, with our dedicated volunteers providing door-to-door transportation to ensure everyone could participate with ease. More than 15 attendees gathered at the theatre, enjoying the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones into our community. The event was a meaningful way to bring people together and celebrate our shared commitment to supporting the seniors we serve each day.

Senior Care Services recently partnered with Princeton Community Housing (PCH) for a heartwarming outreach event that brought joy, connection, and nourishment to local seniors. As part of this initiative, over 70 bags filled with soup cans were delivered to residents, offering both a thoughtful gesture and practical support.

We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, which made the day even more special. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community, reconnect with familiar faces—including some of our valued clients—and welcome several new ones. The warm reception we received reflected the strong sense of community among the residents. Many expressed sincere gratitude for the donation and shared interest in learning more about the services we offer. Several even asked for information on how Senior Care Services could assist them further.

Adding to the day’s joy was the presence of one of our cherished volunteers, Maura Endres. Her energy, kindness, and genuine affection for the residents were felt the moment she arrived. Maura is truly beloved by the community, and her participation brought smiles and lifted spirits throughout the event.

Events like this highlight the power of partnership and the importance of staying connected with our community. Senior Care Services is proud to support seniors in meaningful ways, and we look forward to future collaborations with PCH and other local organizations to continue making a positive impact.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting older adults in our community, Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton (SCSGP) was honored to partner with the Rotary Club of Princeton Corridor for their 4th Friday lunch project in March. In support of our Soup for Seniors food drive, club members generously donated non-perishable canned goods, which were collected, repackaged, and prepared for distribution to homebound seniors in need.

We were also deeply grateful to receive a $1,000 contribution from the Rotary Club of Princeton Corridor to help further our mission. Our Executive Director, Adriana Morabito, had the pleasure of attending the event to accept the donation and share more about the positive impact of our programs—including this food drive—on the lives of seniors in our community.

What an incredible night! The Trivia Night Fundraiser on May 19, 2025, at PJ’s in Pennington, NJ, was a huge success. With packed tables, exciting competition, and plenty of laughter, the event brought the community together to support the Senior Care Services Princeton event. PRINCETON, April 7, 2019

An exciting community collaboration took place at the matinee performance of “Gods of Comedy” on Sunday, March 24^th. Over 100 guests of Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton were given the royal treatment at this uproarious Ken Ludwig comedy. Thanks to the generosity of Michael Rosenberg, the new Managing Director of McCarter, and his tireless staff, Senior Care Services’ elderly, homebound clients, aided by the organization’s dedicated volunteers, enjoyed a festive afternoon excursion. McCarter generously provided space in the west lobby for Senior Care Services to host a pre-performance reception to welcome the seniors and express appreciation to the loyal volunteers for all they do.

“This delightful collaboration was the product of McCarter’s expanded outreach to the community under Michael Rosenberg,” says Clare Smith, Executive Director of Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton. “It was so wonderful to see all the smiling faces of our clients, volunteers and special donors – the feeling  of the greater community of Princeton in the room was palpable,” Smith added.

Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton engages volunteers to assist homebound seniors to age gracefully in place and to preserve their independence by providing medical transportation, food shopping and friendly visits. The flexibility of the volunteer opportunities available at the organization draws people from all walks of life, many of whom work full-time. Some volunteers serve clients an hour a month while others serve an hour a week. Volunteers, as well as client referrals, are always welcome.
