Food Shopping

Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton provides food shopping services to seniors 65 and over who live within a ten-mile radius of Princeton. Typically, a volunteer shops for a client, but if a client wishes to go to the supermarket, this service is also provided, subject to the availability of a volunteer.

The procedure is as follows:

A volunteer will call a client to arrange a mutually agreeable time. The volunteer will either get the grocery list over the phone or stop by the client’s home and pick up the list and do the food shopping.

Payment can be made by cash or a check made payable to the supermarket.  Volunteers are not able to take a client’s credit or debit card to pay for the shopping order
